Thank God Dana was here for the second go around as I am getting tired
and spend a lot of time on the couch trying to nap.
Dana's friends Amanda and Rebecca came over and made more
delicious soups....they are excellent.
April 19th was the last chemo day for me followed by
another radiation treatment and at that time it
was decided to stop radiation treatments for a few days
because I have pretty bad burn on my left chest and shoulder.
The skin has sloughed off and oozes fluid. So now I have a special
dressing to try to protect it and hopefully I can start again and finish next week.
Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes...I think I'll take
another nap.

Hey Sis,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the skin burn, I know you won't say, but I bet it hurt's like a BEOTCH!!! You are one tough lady!! I'm jealous of the soup hook-up, those girls should make a cookbook, and we could eat yummy soup together. A long distance soup party would be fun. Christa and I have a beer together about once a week via Skype, if you have a web cam WE coud do soup. YUM!! I rode over the Skyway bridge on my Ducati today, winds were blowing 20/30 mph. FREAKY, yet fun. I have a really pretty scarf I want to send to you, hem.... I need your address, I know I have it, but sometimes my filing system lacks.. ALOT.
Love and prayers

Hi Mom, We miss you! I hope you can finish the rads so your skin can start healing and you can have a great summer. Everyone asks how you are doing. People stop me in the store and ask how you are.
ReplyDeleteI had a nice time with you last week. I know you were tired but I feel better just being around you even if all we did was go to treatments. I know you will continue to stay strong and get through with just as you do with everything else.
I love you Mom,
D
